    Overview

    MALBAC Single Cell WGA Kit is based on the novel patented MALBAC technology, and provides rapid, reliable and reproducible whole genome amplification from single cells or equivalent gDNA (picogram level) to produce 2-4 micrograms of amplified gDNA in about 4 hours. The kit is able to achieve >90% amplification success rate and consistent amplification efficiency in both AT- and GC-rich regions for most cell types, such as single blastomere, polar bodies, single sperm and single cells from cultured cell lines. The kit generates reproducible loci representation, achieving>0.9 correlation coefficient for Qpcr Ct values among reaction replicates. More than 90% of genetic loci over a genome can be amplified then analyzed by various plat forms, such as real-time PCR (qPCR) and next-generation sequencing. The kit can also be used to amplify sub-nanogram level of inputting g DNA (e.g. from hundreds of cells).

    Overview
    MALBAC Single Cell WGA Re-Amp Kit is a companion product of MALBAC Single Cell WGA Kit. By this Re-Amp Kit, one can obtain ~1-3 µg gDNA from 1-10 ng previous MALBAC amplified products in about 1 hour. The Re-Amped products keep good fidelity to the first round MALBAC products without introducing further amplification bias. The Re-Amped products can also be applied for various downstream experiments, such as real time qPCR, Sanger sequencing (point mutation detection), next generation sequencing, etc.

    Overview

    Single Cell Lysis Kit is to lyse cells completely and release gDNA into a low salt buffer. Unnecessary for any purification, the low salt lysed products can be directly used for various downstream applications such as whole genome amplification and real-time qPCR. About 1 to 1000 mammalian cells can be efficiently lysed in a standard lysing reaction. This lysis kit can be applied to freshly cultured cells, FAC cells, laser capture microdissection, diluted cells, micromanipulated samples and biopsy samples, etc.

Description: 
Yikon focuses on developing and providing genetic analytical products and services for genetic research and in vitro diagnosis (IVD). Yikon supplies unique single cells amplification kits based on the patented MALBAC technology that pre-amplifies pico-gram level nucleic acids to microgram prior to genomic and epigenetic analyses, thereby resolving the common problems of insufficient quantity and heterogeneity of genetic materials from various sample sources. Nucleic acid analytical platforms such as real-time qPCR, microarray and next-generation sequencing often require starting samples to meet specific quantity and quality threshold to generate reproducible and accurate data. These minimal sample requirements in quantity and quality are not easily achieved in many applications, especially in the field of forensics and IVD. Extremely tiny samples such as single cells, plasma, hair follicle, blood stain, fine-needle aspiration and laser capture micro-dissection are often severe challenging for all genetic assays aiming to detect  point mutation, copy-number variations, indels, gene fusion and expression. These challenges may cause failure or poor reproducibility of the results. MALBAC technology is the most powerful tool to overcome these challenges up to date. By virtue of unprecedented evenness in amplification, MALBAC technology is able to amplify trace amount (even single chromosome) nucleic acids to millions fold, thus make ever impossible assays practicable. Starting with pico-grams nucleic acid, MALBAC brings success to almost all subsequent molecular biology applications.
